Moles are small, coloured spots which form on the skin. They may appear flat or raised, feel smooth or rough and may even have hair growing out of them. Most people have them and they're usually nothing to worry about, unless they change shape, size or colour.
Moles occur when cells in the skin form in clusters instead of being spread throughout the skin. These cells are called ‘melanocytes’, and they make the pigment that gives skin its natural colour.
If you're concerned about any moles on your body, ask for a Screen Cancer consultation with a full Dermatologist Report (at Body Perfection Laser Clinic) - particularly if you notice your mole:
These changes can happen over weeks or months, and are sometimes a sign of melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
