THE ENZYMES
In skin care, enzymes function as a gentle alterative to chemical peels. Enzymes are proteins which act as catalysts in the body. An effective enzyme treatment safely brings immediate radiance and clarity to the skin by helping to release dead cells and surface debris. Enzyme treatments may be performed on all skin types, either alone or as part of a comprehensive program of care. Circadia blends three different types of enzymes in each product, bromelain, papain, and trypsin into our Cocoa, Raspberry and citrus Zymase treatments. This ensures a safe, uniform exfoliating treatment providing multiple benefits, with no redness or flaking. Bromelain is derived from pineapple and is an effective anti-inflammatory and keratolytic agent to release cellular build-up. Papain is derived from papaya and acts to dissolve the keratin protein found in the cells of the stratum corneum, the outer layer of the skin. Trypsin helps digest specific proteins that “glue” dead skin cells together. Circadia enzymes may be used as the exfoliation portion of a deep-pore cleansing facial in conjunction with other treatments. Each provides a refreshingly fragrant sensory experience for the client as well a luminous, healthy glow to the complexion
Cocoa Enzyme Is there anyone who doesn’t feel better after a little chocolate? Therapeutically, cocoa contains over 100 useful components to enhance health and appearance. This is a delightful treatment with soothing and calming properties. This treatment is excellent for use on sensitive skin, rosacea and acne. It calms redness while gently exfoliating
Raspberry Enzyme This raspberry enhanced enzyme has a light and refreshing berry scent and provides multiple benefits for sun-damaged skin and in the treatment of hyperpigmentation.
Zymase Enzyme This citrus enzyme is the strongest of the three enzymes. It is especially effective on photo-damaged and thicker skin types.
